Union Minister for Food, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs, Pralhad Joshi, voiced strong disapproval of the Opposition’s dissemination of misinformation regarding the ‘Free Trade Agreement’ and the trade deal with the United States. Addressing a gathering in Kalaburagi, Joshi emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to protecting national interests while making policy decisions. He accused the Opposition of unjustly criticizing India’s trade agreements with foreign nations, including the United States, where no faults exist.
Describing the Union Budget 2026 as people-centric and youth-oriented, Joshi highlighted its alignment with the vision of a developed India. He praised the budget for reflecting India’s increasing global prominence under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Joshi lauded initiatives like the India AI Mission, the India Semiconductor Mission, and startup support programs, emphasizing their role in fostering innovation and manufacturing opportunities for the youth within the country.
Furthermore, Joshi underscored the government’s focus on industrial growth through schemes such as PM MITRA Parks and various regional development initiatives. He expressed confidence that these initiatives would contribute significantly to the nation’s economic advancement. The event, organized by the Kalyana Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was attended by several dignitaries, including industrialists and chamber office-bearers.
