Union Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Pralhad Joshi praised the ongoing transformation in India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Speaking at the inauguration of the Sri Veeranagamma Devi Temple in Raichur, Joshi emphasized India’s diverse cultural traditions and the importance of justice and morality in life. He underscored the significance of upholding “Human Dharma” beyond religious rituals and advocated for the eradication of untouchability in society.
Joshi mentioned the government’s efforts to promote religious and spiritual rejuvenation activities nationwide. He highlighted the “Ramayana Circuit,” a spiritual tourism initiative aimed at showcasing key religious sites associated with Lord Rama. The initiative includes visits to 15 significant destinations such as Ayodhya, Hampi, and Nashik, among others, to instill cultural and spiritual values.
The Minister quoted a verse emphasizing the importance of remembering Veeranagamma Devi, symbolizing the flow of life like a river when her significance is acknowledged. He commended the construction of the temple by local BJP MLA Manappa Vajjal, praising his charitable endeavors. The consecration ceremony of Sri Veeranagamma Devi was led by prominent religious figures, including chief priest K.N. Narasimha Adiga and pontiff Jagadguru Immadi Siddarameshwara Mahaswamiji.
