Union Minister Pralhad Joshi stated that the Election Commission of India has promised to investigate complaints of irregularities in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Karnataka. Joshi highlighted alleged attempts by the Congress government in Karnataka to disrupt the process.
He accused the Congress of engaging in irregularities during the implementation of the Special Intensive Revision. Joshi claimed there was a plot to include Bangladeshi nationals in the electoral rolls of cities like Hubballi, Dharwad, and Mysuru. He also mentioned issues faced by Booth Level Agents in obtaining information.
Joshi further alleged that officials were instructed not to delete names of deceased voters from the electoral rolls. He criticized the inclusion of distant relatives in Enumeration Forms, contrary to Election Commission guidelines.
