Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal expressed confidence that the BJP is set to form the government in Assam for the third consecutive term, aiming to secure more than 100 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections. Speaking at a rally in Borkhola Assembly constituency, Sonowal highlighted the party’s governance and development efforts that have garnered public trust statewide.
Sonowal emphasized the transformative impact of the BJP-led government in Assam, citing the implementation of historic decisions for the state’s progress and identity. He underlined the shift towards development and good governance, stressing the public’s rejection of instability and corruption in favor of growth.
The Union Minister lauded the initiatives undertaken by both state and central governments, noting their tangible benefits at the grassroots level, improving the quality of life for residents. Sonowal also pointed out the lack of direction and support among Opposition parties, contrasting it with the BJP’s expanding influence, particularly in the Barak Valley region.
Encouraging party workers to enhance their voter outreach strategies, Sonowal emphasized the significance of connecting with voters at the booth level ahead of the elections. The rally, attended by senior party leaders and local candidates, witnessed a substantial turnout of supporters, reflecting the growing momentum leading up to the polls.
