Union ministers have lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 12-year tenure, emphasizing the government’s accomplishments in welfare, infrastructure, financial inclusion, and economic empowerment. They expressed on social media that these years have marked a new phase of development, public welfare, and citizen-centric governance. Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal highlighted India’s progress in service, governance, and public welfare during this period, covering areas from poverty alleviation to women’s empowerment and from farmer welfare to youth opportunities.
Goyal pointed out various achievements, including the provision of free foodgrains to over 81 crore people monthly and the sanctioning of more than 4 crore houses under the PM Awas Yojana. He also mentioned the empowerment of rural women through self-help groups and the expansion of metro rail networks to over 1,100 km in 26 cities. Additionally, the establishment of startups, operation of Vande Bharat trains, and growth in airport numbers were highlighted as significant milestones.
Furthermore, Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman emphasized the government’s focus on “Jan Seva Se Jan Shakti” as the guiding principle. She highlighted financial inclusion efforts, such as the opening of over 58 crore bank accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana with deposits exceeding Rs 3 lakh crore. Sitharaman also mentioned the PM SVANidhi scheme, which has disbursed more than Rs 18,600 crore through micro-loans to support urban street vendors.
Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, the Minister for Development of North Eastern Region, commended the government’s commitment to public welfare under PM Modi’s leadership. He noted the positive impact on millions of citizens’ lives through initiatives focusing on infrastructure, digital revolution, women’s empowerment, and farmer welfare. Scindia highlighted India’s progress across various sectors, attributing it to the trust and support of the country’s 140 crore citizens.
Similarly, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri described PM Modi as a leader who sees power as a tool for service rather than privilege. Puri praised Modi’s dedication, discipline, and ability to turn ambitious goals into reality, which has contributed to building a self-assured India. He emphasized that the Prime Minister is not just a political figure but also a guiding force in shaping India’s vision for development.
