Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited a hydrogen facility in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, emphasizing the state’s commitment to advancing green hydrogen and sustainable energy solutions. During his trip, he engaged with the Indian diaspora and praised the innovative work in green hydrogen and clean energy technologies at the Yamanashi Hydrogen Facility. Adityanath highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s dedication to green initiatives and innovation for a sustainable future.
The visit coincided with significant investment agreements worth nearly Rs 11,000 crore signed between Uttar Pradesh and leading Japanese companies. These collaborations span various sectors such as agriculture, industrial machinery, automobiles, electronics, hospitality, real estate, and environmental infrastructure. The partnerships aim to boost industrial cooperation and technology-led collaboration between the state and Japan.
Among the companies involved in the agreements are Kubota Corporation, Minda Corporation, Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Nagase & Co., Ltd., Seiko Advance, O&O Group, Fuji Japanese JV, and Fuji Silvertech Concrete Pvt. Ltd. Kubota, a renowned global player in agricultural and industrial machinery, is expanding its presence in India through partnerships like Escorts Kubota Limited in the farm mechanisation sector.
Furthermore, Minda Corporation and Japan Aviation Electronics Industry will enhance automotive electronics and advanced component manufacturing in Uttar Pradesh. Nagase & Co., Ltd., specializing in advanced materials and mobility solutions, will contribute to developing high-technology manufacturing ecosystems in the state. Seiko Advance’s expertise in industrial printing inks and coating solutions is expected to drive growth in electronics panels, automotive graphics, and consumer appliances.
At the Uttar Pradesh Investment Road Show in Tokyo, Adityanath promoted the state as a prime investment destination in India. He emphasized Uttar Pradesh’s secure environment, robust infrastructure, vast market potential, and young workforce, making it the preferred choice for investors. The Chief Minister also highlighted the state’s economic growth, demographic strength, and the proposed Japan Industrial City near Noida International Airport, offering exclusive space for Japanese investors.
Adityanath outlined investment opportunities in semiconductors, data centers, green hydrogen, electric mobility, logistics, and renewable energy, aiming to strengthen industrial collaboration between India and Japan. With a focus on MSME units, upgraded infrastructure, and upcoming projects, Uttar Pradesh is striving to become a key hub for expanding bilateral industrial ties.
