The Uttar Pradesh Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) recruitment exam for 3,539 teaching positions started on Wednesday with strict security measures in place statewide. Over 8.6 lakh candidates are participating in the two-day exam held in 36 districts. The exam, organized by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), is conducted offline in two shifts each day.

Authorities have ensured thorough monitoring and security arrangements to maintain the exam’s integrity and prevent any malpractices. The first day of the exam covers subjects like Social Science, Physical Education, Science, Urdu, Hindi, Mathematics, Agriculture, and Music (Vocal). Prohibited items, including electronic devices like mobile phones and smart gadgets, are strictly banned from the exam centers.

To uphold the exam’s credibility, candidates must adhere to all guidelines specified in their admit cards. An invigilator in Prayagraj mentioned that the administration is strictly following government protocols to ensure a smooth examination process. Candidates have expressed satisfaction with the arrangements, citing the presence of ample administrative officials and personnel.

Security personnel, administrative officers, and exam staff are heavily deployed to prevent any misconduct. Surveillance measures have been heightened to deter cheating. The exam continues on Thursday with subjects like English, Home Science, Biology, Music (Instrumental), Sanskrit, Commerce, and Art.
