Vani Kapoor showcased her skill with five birdies in the final stretch to secure a comfortable victory in the ninth leg of the Women’s Pro Golf Tour at Clover Greens. She shot a remarkable 5-under 67 in the last round, adding to her scores of 70 and 68 in the first two rounds, finishing at 11-under, three shots ahead of Anvvi Dahhiya.
Amandeep Drall, who led after 36 holes, faced setbacks on the last day, slipping due to a bogey-double bogey on the seventh and eighth holes, and another double bogey on the 14th. Despite an eagle on the 10th, she couldn’t recover from the earlier errors.
Vani surged from a two-shot deficit to reach 11-under, leaving Anvvi and Amandeep tied for second at 8-under in the Rs.17 lakh event at Clover Greens. The tournament featured 58 players, with 35 making the cut after 36 holes.
Jasmine Shekar and Nayanika Sanga shared the fourth spot, while Ananya Garg, Jahnavi Prakhya, and Khushi Khanijau secured the sixth, seventh, and eighth positions respectively.
Ridhima Dilawari, a three-time winner this season, fought back from an initial 75 with scores of 69 and 70 in the last two days, tying for ninth place with Neha Tripathi and Lavanya Jadon.
Vani Kapoor, a five-time winner in 2025, clinched her first victory of 2026, showcasing a stellar performance with crucial birdies in the final stretch. Anvvi Dahhiya and Amandeep Drall also displayed commendable performances in the tournament.
Jahaanvie Walia impressed with a hole-in-one on the 11th hole, finishing 20th after a challenging round. Former WPGT Order of Merit winner Hitaashee Bakshi finished T-18th, aiming to regain her form.
The upcoming leg of the Women’s Pro Golf Tour will take place at Zion Hills Golf Course, Kolar, from July 14 to 17, featuring a field of 58 players, including nine amateurs.
