Vasant Valley School, Modern School, Step by Step School, Noida, and Bharti Public School secured spots in the girls’ semifinals at the Oriental Cup 2026. In the Boys’ category, Vasant Valley School claimed the final quarterfinal place after a penalty shootout victory.
The tournament resumed after a weekend break with ideal playing conditions at the Dr. Ambedkar Stadium. Vasant Valley School advanced to the Boys’ quarterfinals after defeating Kendriya Vidyalaya, R.K. Puram in a penalty shootout.
Vasant Valley School also triumphed in the Girls’ category, beating Government Girls Senior Secondary School, NIT Faridabad 1-0. Modern School dominated with a 6-0 win over Sapphire International School, while Step by Step School, Noida, and Bharti Public School also secured semifinal berths.
The Oriental Cup 2026 will continue with the Boys’ quarterfinals as the competition intensifies. The event, hosting over 1,500 student-athletes from Delhi-NCR, features an increased prize pool and a scholarship program for deserving participants.
