Former Rajasthan Chief Minister, Vasundhara Raje, highlighted the significance of ideological dedication and loyalty in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the party’s Foundation Day event in Jaipur. Raje expressed that organizational roles should be assigned to devoted workers rather than opportunists, emphasizing the importance of staying true to the party’s core beliefs. She acknowledged that while political party-switching is common, it may not signify a change in one’s fundamental beliefs.
Raje further mentioned that some individuals do genuinely align with a new party, likening their integration to sugar dissolving in milk. She stressed the need to prioritize and honor leaders and workers who uphold the party’s fundamental ideology. Raje cautioned against self-centered attitudes within political circles, urging a focus on the party’s future rather than personal gain. She emphasized the value of dedication over the pursuit of titles or positions, encouraging sincerity in work as the path to recognition.
Recalling a historical account, Raje shared that senior BJP figures Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L.K. Advani once suggested her mother, Vijaya Raje Scindia, for party leadership, a proposal she declined. Her statements are interpreted by party members as a strong directive on internal discipline, loyalty, and organizational integrity within the BJP.
