Professional Golf Tour of India Announces Inaugural Andhra Open at East Point Golf Club

The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) revealed the launch of the Andhra Open, set to take place at the scenic East Point Golf Club in Visakhapatnam from April 7 to 10. With a prize purse of Rs 1 crore, the event will feature top Indian golfers like Saptak Talwar, Veer Ahlawat, and foreign players including Sri Lankan N Thangaraja.

Leading Indian professionals such as Manu Gandas and Angad Cheema, along with local talents S Muthu and Mohammed Rahman, will also showcase their skills at the tournament. Amandeep Johl, CEO of PGTI, expressed enthusiasm for the event’s return to the East Point Golf Club and the support received from stakeholders and the EPGC.

Acknowledging the efforts of Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu in promoting Andhra Pradesh as a global hub for sports and business, M S N Raju, Secretary of East Point Golf Club, highlighted the club’s history and recent achievements in golf course development, emphasizing the state’s commitment to fostering golfing activities and hosting prestigious events like the Andhra Open.
