Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan unveiled the book “RSS @100: A Century of Service, Unity & Sacrifice,” authored by Shyam Jaju and Anupam Trivedi. The book highlights the RSS’s focus on character-building and leadership development through its daily shakhas. Radhakrishnan praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s journey from a Swayamsevak to Pradhan Sevak, emphasizing his commitment to service and “Nation First.”
The Vice-President commended the RSS’s values of selfless service and nation-building, which Modi has integrated into governance. He shared insights from his discussion with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, both having started as grassroots workers inspired by Jayaprakash Narayan’s ‘Sampoorna Kranti.’ Drawing a parallel with the Ganga’s growth, Radhakrishnan noted the RSS’s evolution from modest origins to one of the world’s largest voluntary organizations.
Radhakrishnan described the RSS shakha as a platform for shaping youth into individuals of national character. He stressed the importance of enhancing one’s responsibilities with dedication and excellence. The Vice-President highlighted the Sangh’s efforts in revitalizing India’s cultural heritage and traditions, encapsulated in the book’s themes of Service, Unity, and Sacrifice.
