Actor and political leader Vijay, after voting in Chennai, has requested the Election Commission to arrange more government buses to transport stranded voters to polling stations. He highlighted the plight of numerous voters stuck at bus terminals in Chennai and other cities in Tamil Nadu due to a lack of transportation to reach their polling booths. Vijay emphasized the need for immediate action to assist citizens who are facing difficulties in exercising their voting rights.

Vijay’s parents, renowned Tamil film directors S A Chandrasekhar and Shoba Chandrasekhar, also cast their votes in Chennai. Director H Vinoth, known for his work with Vijay, participated in the voting process in Anaicut. Other prominent personalities like directors Pa Ranjith and Atlee, along with actors Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vikram, and Gautham Karthik, were seen exercising their franchise at various polling stations across the state.

Moreover, actor Ajith, who rushed back from Belgium where he was participating in a car race, was among the early voters in Thiruvanmiyur. Notable figures from the entertainment industry, including music director Anirudh Ravichander and actor Dhanush, also cast their votes in Alwarpet. The state is witnessing a significant voter turnout, with numerous celebrities and common people participating in the election to choose from a vast pool of candidates.

Polling for the 234-member Assembly is currently underway in Tamil Nadu, with the results scheduled to be announced on May 4.
