Sources suggest that ‘Jana Nayagan,’ directed by H Vinoth and featuring Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay in his final acting role, may hit screens this July. The film’s clearance from the Censor Board is expected soon, prompting discussions about a July release, though no official date has been announced yet.
‘Jana Nayagan’ had initially generated significant interest as Vijay’s farewell movie before his full-time entry into politics. Originally slated for a Pongal release in January, the film faced delays after being referred to a Revising Committee by the Censor Board under Rule 24 of the Cinematograph (Certification) Rules.
Despite being submitted for clearance in December last year, the film is still pending approval from the Censor Board. Directed by H. Vinoth, the movie features a star-studded cast including Vijay, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, and Gautham Vasudev Menon.
KVN Productions, the film’s production house, had regretfully announced the postponement of ‘Jana Nayagan’ in January due to unforeseen circumstances. They assured fans that a new release date would be revealed soon, expressing gratitude for the continued support and patience of the audience.
