Raja Das, a 33-year-old athlete from West Bengal, not only helps his father deliver ice to local blood banks in Kolkata but also excels in Pencak Silat. His recent victory at the Khelo India Beach Games 2026 in Diu, where he clinched a gold medal by defeating the defending champion, highlights his dedication and skill.

Having a background in commerce, Raja’s passion for martial arts led him to specialize in Pencak Silat, a combat style encompassing various techniques. Despite facing personal tragedies, including the loss of his younger brother in 2018, Raja persevered, balancing his sporting aspirations with family responsibilities.

Raja’s consistent success in national competitions, coupled with his international exposure, positions him as a prominent figure in India’s Artistic Pencak Silat scene. His recent gold medal win not only marks a significant achievement in his career but also sets the stage for future international competitions, aiming to bring glory to the country.

Raja’s determination and hard work, supported by his family and training opportunities, fuel his ambition to secure medals for India on the global stage. With upcoming championships on the horizon, Raja remains focused on his goal of making a mark in international Pencak Silat tournaments.
