West Bengal BJP is gearing up to launch the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative across the state starting from August 9. This program, part of the national ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ aims to encourage citizens to proudly hoist the Tricolour at their homes. The initiative seeks to instill a sense of patriotism and reverence for the National Flag among the people.

The state BJP leadership, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s directive, plans to elevate the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to new heights in every district of West Bengal. Scheduled to kick off on August 9 and run until August 14, the program will be overseen by BJP MP Saumitra Khan, with Anindya Banerjee (Raju), Sonali Murmu Soren, Mahadev Sarkar, and Falguni Patra serving as co-in-charge.

The event will encompass all districts of the state, featuring flag-hoisting ceremonies and a procession with the National Flag. The BJP has also extended an invitation to Union Home Minister Amit Shah to visit Bengal and participate in the program. While Shah’s attendance is yet to be confirmed, the party is keen on involving central ministers and leaders in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ events across various districts.

Various cultural and patriotic activities are planned as part of the program, including the hoisting of the National Flag in government and private offices, schools, institutions, and shops. The BJP’s initiative aims to commemorate India’s Independence Day with a display of national pride and unity.
