Ahead of the first anniversary of the Air India plane crash, Hetal Prajapati, the wife of victim Mahesh Kalawadia, is urging the government to disclose the aircraft’s black box data and ensure that the family receives necessary information from Boeing, the airplane’s manufacturer. The tragic incident involving Air India Flight AI-171 occurred on June 12 last year, resulting in the loss of nearly 260 lives, marking it as one of the deadliest aviation disasters in recent times.
In a conversation, Hetal Prajapati expressed her disappointment with the lack of support from the government following the tragedy. She highlighted the challenges faced over the past year, including her own health issues, emphasizing the need for timely responses from the concerned authorities in such aviation accidents. Despite receiving compensation, she stressed the importance of obtaining crucial details like the black box data and clarifications from Boeing.
Prajapati emphasized the family’s plea for transparency and accountability, urging the Union government to provide updates on the black box information and cooperate with Boeing to address any potential errors. She mentioned the assistance of their legal representative, specializing in aviation matters, in navigating the complexities of the case and understanding the possible causes behind the tragic incident.
