A woman in Patna was gang-raped after being promised a job as a domestic help in the Punpun area, as per police reports. The incident occurred near Punpun Ghat, where the accused gave the victim a sedative-laced drink before committing the crime.
Following the victim’s complaint, an FIR has been filed, and an investigation is currently underway. The survivor, who works as a cook near Beur Jail, was lured to Punpun by one of the accused, Ramesh Chaudhary, under the guise of offering her a job as a housemaid.
Station House Officer Baby Kumari confirmed that the accused, including Ramesh Chaudhary, Kundan Kumar alias Kunal, and Sagar Kumar alias Sardar, have been apprehended by the police. Raids are ongoing to locate the auto-rickshaw driver involved in the incident.
A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has examined the crime scene, and the victim is undergoing a medical examination. Police officials have assured that the investigation is progressing, with further actions being taken.
