The World Economic Forum has expressed interest in collaborating on Telangana’s ambitious goal of becoming a $3 trillion economy by 2047. During a meeting at the WEF 2026 in Davos, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy presented the state’s vision and strategies for achieving this economic milestone.
Jeremy Jurgens, Managing Director of WEF, acknowledged the potential for cooperation within Telangana’s growth plans, emphasizing the talent pool in Hyderabad. The Chief Minister proposed hosting an annual follow-up WEF event to ensure continuity in discussions and decisions made during the main summit.
WEF officials, including Jurgens, responded positively to the idea of a follow-up event, considering the significance of shorter business cycles today. They also discussed the successful launch of C4IR Telangana, a WEF initiative focused on healthcare and life sciences innovation in India.
Industry Minister D. Sridhar Babu highlighted Telangana’s economic strategies, such as the “CURE, PURE, RARE” framework and the Bharat Future City project.
