Elon Musk’s social media platform, X, has announced a strict policy warning creators against sharing AI-generated videos of armed conflict without disclosure. Creators violating this rule will face a 90-day suspension from the revenue-sharing program. Subsequent violations could lead to a permanent suspension to maintain authenticity and prevent manipulation during wartime.
X’s Product Head, Nikita Bier, emphasized the importance of authenticity in content and the need to combat misleading information. The platform will monitor posts for any signs of AI content creation, such as Community Notes or metadata from generative AI tools. Recently, X introduced a ‘Made with AI’ label to identify content created using artificial intelligence.
Amidst the US-Israeli military campaign against Iran and the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Elon Musk and Bier reported a surge in platform traffic to an all-time high. Bier also highlighted concerns about the rise in spam through emails, iMessages, and phone calls due to AI agent platform OpenClaw. In response, the company implemented spam and automation detection measures to address the issue.
Elon Musk’s net worth soared past $800 billion after SpaceX acquired xAI, his artificial intelligence firm. This milestone made Musk the wealthiest individual in history, with a net worth of approximately $852 billion. The merger with xAI boosted the company’s value to $1.25 trillion and added $84 billion to Musk’s fortune, significantly surpassing other billionaires like Google co-founder Larry Page.
