Yashasvi Jaiswal showcased a brilliant performance, scoring a rapid half-century off just 23 balls for Rajasthan Royals against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. His unbeaten 77 off 32 deliveries, including 10 boundaries and four sixes, propelled Rajasthan Royals to a formidable total of 150/3 in the rain-shortened 11-overs-a-side match at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati. Teenager Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also contributed significantly with a quick 39 off 14 balls.
Rajasthan Royals got off to a strong start with Jaiswal aggressively scoring 22 runs in the first over, taking advantage of some loose deliveries from Deepak Chahar. Sooryavanshi’s impressive hitting, including two sixes off Jasprit Bumrah, added to the team’s momentum as they reached fifty runs in just 16 balls. Despite a brief setback, with Sooryavanshi getting out after a brisk 39, Jaiswal continued his aggressive batting, reaching his half-century in 23 balls.
The onslaught on the Mumbai Indians’ bowlers continued as Jaiswal’s power-hitting and skipper Riyan Parag’s contributions helped Rajasthan Royals set a challenging target. Parag’s quickfire 20 and Jaiswal’s unbeaten 77 guided the team to a strong total. Mumbai Indians’ bowler Am Ghazandar was the most successful, taking 2 wickets for 21 runs in his two overs. In the end, Rajasthan Royals posted 150/3 in their allotted 11 overs, setting up a competitive match against Mumbai Indians.
