Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the state’s rise as a mobile phone manufacturing hub. At a solar unit event, Adityanath acknowledged the Central government’s role in enhancing manufacturing in the state. He highlighted the development of a 56,000-acre industrial corridor between Kanpur and Jhansi, emphasizing the swift approval process by the Government of India.
Adityanath also commended the improved law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh under BJP rule. He noted the transformation of Jewar from ‘Jungle Raj’ to ‘Mangal Raj’ due to enhanced security measures. The Chief Minister emphasized the state’s investor-friendly environment, citing sector-specific policies, a vast land bank of 75,000 acres, and a strong law enforcement framework.
Furthermore, Adityanath outlined the state’s focus on green energy initiatives over the past nine years. He expressed ambitions to boost renewable energy generation to 20,000 MW within three years, a significant increase from the current 6,000 MW capacity. The state’s plans include diversifying energy sources to include solar, CNG, ethanol, and compressed biogas from crop residue to combat stubble burning.
Highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s ethanol production success, Adityanath mentioned the state’s leading position in ethanol output post-policy implementation, accounting for 55% of the national production. The ethanol policy not only enhanced sustainability in sugar mills but also revitalized them financially. Adityanath also highlighted the government’s efforts to support cane growers by disbursing Rs 3.22 lakh crore in the past nine years to clear pending dues.
