In a significant move for Agra, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched 325 projects totaling Rs 6,466.37 crore. The highlight was the initiation of the ‘Greater Agra’ township project aimed at transforming the city into a modern economic hub.
The Greater Agra township, spanning 449.65 hectares, is set to become a major attraction for companies, offering new job opportunities. The project, under the ‘New City Promotion Scheme,’ will feature sectors named after sacred Indian rivers, blending cultural heritage with modern urban planning.
With a focus on quality housing and essential amenities, the development aims to create a livable environment for over 10,000 families. Positioned strategically, the township is expected to attract industrial investments, boosting economic growth and employment prospects.
The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s vision to elevate Agra beyond tourism, positioning it as a vibrant economic center. The event witnessed the inauguration of various projects across sectors like infrastructure, tourism, and connectivity, signaling a comprehensive approach to urban growth and cultural preservation.
