In Vadodara, 13-year-old Tanishka Kalbhairav secured a spot in the women’s singles main draw after dominating Group 5 with a perfect record. Meanwhile, Parth Magar, Jash Modi, and Shankhadip Das caused upsets to advance to the men’s singles main draw at the WTT Feeder Series 2026.
The ongoing WTT Feeder Series in Vadodara, organized by the Table Tennis Association of Baroda and executed by UTT, witnessed impressive performances from emerging talents. Tanishka continued her winning streak by defeating Evana Thapa in the final match, securing her place in the main draw.
Joining Tanishka in the main draw are players like Selena Selvakumar, Anusha Kutumbale, Sampada Bhiwandkar, Ananya Muralidharan, and Pritha Vartikar. In the men’s qualifiers, Parth Magar, Jash Modi, and Shankhadip Das displayed strong performances to progress to the main draw.
In the women’s doubles qualifiers, Kavya Bhaskar and Pranati Paramesh earned their spot by defeating Senhora Dsouza and Naisha Rewaskar. Notable matches in the mixed doubles qualifiers included top seeds Raegan Albuquerque and Suhana Saini’s hard-fought victory over Sriram Sivan and Ananya Muralidharan.
The competition also saw surprising results, with Sarthak Arya and Hardee Patel upsetting third seeds Snehit Suravajjula and Sayali Wani in the mixed doubles qualifiers. Anusha Kutumbale’s victory over Nithya Mani in the women’s singles group stage added to the intense competition.
