Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed public dissatisfaction with the coalition government during a meeting with YSRCP leaders and cadres in Ongole. He announced plans for a padyatra to address people’s concerns, highlighting the government’s failure to benefit any societal segment. Jagan emphasized his commitment to public service, citing the implementation of various welfare and development initiatives under his leadership.
YS Jagan accused Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of prioritizing power for corrupt practices. He criticized the government’s expenditure of Rs 3.30 lakh crore in two years without fulfilling electoral promises, alleging widespread corruption and the abandonment of YSRCP schemes. Jagan outlined his intention to conduct a padyatra over the next 1.5 years, aiming to engage with the public and strengthen the party’s position for the upcoming elections.
Asserting the YSRCP’s dedication to ethical governance, Jagan underscored the party’s foundation on values and credibility. He contrasted the YSRCP’s governance approach with that of the coalition government, pointing out the state’s progress despite inheriting financial challenges in 2019. Jagan highlighted the YSRCP’s focus on welfare spending, addressing falling state revenues, alleged land giveaways, and corruption in Amaravati development projects.
