YSR Congress Party’s State Coordinator, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, urged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to address his claims of Tirupati laddus being tainted with animal fat during the party’s tenure. Reddy emphasized that Naidu should either stand by his allegations or issue a clear statement following lab results confirming no animal fat in the laddus.
Lab reports conclusively debunked any presence of animal fat in the Tirupati laddu, prompting Reddy to stress the seriousness of Naidu’s controversial remarks and call for accountability over the irresponsible statement. Reddy highlighted that politicizing such issues by a high-ranking official like Naidu has sparked global outrage among devotees and warrants scrutiny.
Reddy, addressing the media, criticized Naidu for unnecessarily sensationalizing the matter with his unfounded claims of laddu adulteration, causing significant public concern. Referring to the SIT report based on national lab findings, Reddy insisted on holding Naidu responsible for his remarks that have deeply offended devotees worldwide.
Chandrababu Naidu’s failure to acknowledge the lab reports and his attempt to shift blame to a specific time frame rather than admitting fault drew criticism from Reddy. Reddy underscored the need for Naidu to explain his role in triggering the investigation and the subsequent emotional distress caused to devotees due to the adulteration allegations.
