Release Date: April 17, 2024 (Hindi & Telugu)
Genre: Supernatural Thriller
Director: Ashok Teja

The much-awaited trailer for Odela 2, starring Tamannaah Bhatia, has finally been unveiled, sparking immense excitement among fans and cinephiles alike. This supernatural thriller, directed by Ashok Teja and written by Sampath Nandi, promises a gripping cinematic experience with a blend of mysticism, drama, and high-stakes action. Scheduled for release on April 17, 2025, the film is set to captivate audiences across India with its Hindi and Telugu versions.

Tamannaah Bhatia’s Role as Shiva Shakti

In Odela 2, Tamannaah takes on the powerful role of Shiva Shakti, a divine force inspired by the real-life practices of Naga Sadhus. The trailer showcases her transformation into a fierce protector battling dark forces in a haunted village. Her portrayal is both intense and commanding, as she channels divine energy to confront evil head-on. The visuals highlight her unwavering belief in Lord Shiva, expressed through her impactful body language and piercing gaze.

Trailer Highlights

The trailer delivers spine-chilling moments set against the eerie backdrop of Odela village. It introduces Vasishta N. Simha as a sinister figure whose dark rituals wreak havoc on the villagers, particularly targeting women. Tamannaah’s Shiva Shakti emerges as the ultimate force determined to end his reign of terror. The clash between divine power and dark forces forms the crux of this thrilling narrative.

Enhanced by stunning VFX and Ajaneesh Loknath’s haunting background score, the trailer offers a visual spectacle that combines supernatural elements with emotional depth. Dialogues penned by Sampath Nandi strike a balance between devotional fervor and mass appeal, further elevating the film’s tone.

Production Scale and Cast

Produced by D. Madhu under Madhu Creations in collaboration with Sampath Nandi Teamworks, Odela 2 is mounted on a lavish budget of ₹25 crores. The stellar cast includes Hebah Patel, Murali Sharma, Sharath Lohitashwa, Vasishta N. Simha, and others in pivotal roles. The film’s non-theatrical rights have already fetched ₹18 crores from Amazon Prime Video, signaling strong pre-release buzz.

Tamannaah’s Return as a Solo Lead

After recent ensemble projects like Bholaa Shankar and Aranmanai 4, Tamannaah returns to the forefront as a solo lead in Odela 2. Known for her versatility across genres—from romantic dramas like 100% Love to blockbusters like Baahubali—she now ventures into uncharted territory with this supernatural thriller. Her fans eagerly anticipate this comeback as an opportunity for her to reclaim box office glory.

Will Odela 2 Be Tamannaah’s Box Office Comeback?

While Tamannaah has been a part of big projects like Baahubali and F3, her recent theatrical releases (Bholaa Shankar, Aranmanai 4) didn’t quite set the box office on fire. However, her OTT success with shows like Jee Karda and Lust Stories 2 proved her versatility. Now, with Odela 2, she has a chance to reclaim her position as a bankable solo lead in cinema.

Directed by Ashok Teja and produced by Sampath Nandi (who previously worked with Tamannaah in Rachha), the film is set to clash with other releases like Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi and Sarangapani Jathakam. But given the unique storyline and Tamannaah’s powerful screen presence, trade analysts are hopeful that Odela 2 could be a sleeper hit.

Anticipation for April 17

With its intriguing premise and Tamannaah’s power-packed performance, Odela 2 is positioned as one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Competing against other notable films like Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi and Sarangapani Jathakam, trade analysts are optimistic about its box office prospects. The Hindi version is being distributed by Jai Viratra Entertainment Ltd., ensuring nationwide accessibility for audiences.

As the countdown begins for April 17, all eyes are on Tamannaah Bhatia’s gripping portrayal in Odela 2. Will this supernatural thriller mark her triumphant return as a solo lead? Fans are eagerly waiting to find out!
