New Delhi, June 13 (IANS) The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday stated that the country will receive below normal rainfall this year, and though the monsoon has so far covered most of the Southern Peninsula, north east and parts of east India, it will progress slowly in other regions.Addressing the media, IMD scientist Pradeep Sharma mentioned that the El Nino phenomenon has now become active. “We expect El Nino will be active throughout the monsoon season,” he said.”According to…
