Kolkata, Feb 5 (IANS) The tax revenue of West Bengal is projected to increase by 6.20 per cent by March 31, 2027, mainly propelled by two of the 12 components, namely State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) and state excise.As per the Budget estimates for the financial year 2026-27, the state’s own tax revenue is slated to increase to Rs 1,18,668.78 crore, a 6.20 per cent rise over the figure of Rs 1,11,737.13 crore as per the revised estimates for 2025-26.The SGST component, as per the budget doc…
