Early Life and Musical Roots

Born on February 23, 1975, in Valvod, a small village in the Anand district of Gujarat, Kirtidan grew up in a region deeply rooted in cultural traditions. He was drawn to music from an early age, eventually pursuing formal education in the art. He completed his Bachelor and Master of Performing Arts in Music from the prestigious M. S. University of Baroda, where he trained under noted mentors B. I. Mahant and Rajesh Kelkar.

Kirtidan’s music bridges the gap between traditional Gujarati folk and classical elements, delivering performances that are emotionally stirring and culturally enriching. He first rose to national recognition with his impactful debut at a cow protection rally in Jamnagar, where his music helped raise ₹4.5 crore in support of the cause.

His television debut on MTV Coke Studio in 2015 with the song “Laadki”, alongside Sachin–Jigar, Rekha Bhardwaj, and Tanishka, became an iconic performance that introduced his voice to a broader audience.
