In a touching gesture, a 10-month-old baby girl from Mallappally in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, became the state’s youngest organ donor after a tragic road accident. Despite their grief, the parents decided to donate her kidneys, liver, and heart valves to save other lives. The infant’s organs, including her kidneys, are being transported for transplantation procedures to help those in need.

State Health Minister Veena George commended the family for their selfless act, emphasizing the courage and humanity shown by the parents during their time of sorrow. The government expressed solidarity with the grieving family and highlighted the impact of organ donation in saving lives.

The parents’ decision to donate their daughter’s organs, though a tragic loss, offers hope to families awaiting life-saving transplants. Minister George praised the family for choosing compassion and giving others a chance at life in the midst of their own loss.
