The Aadhaar App, available on Android and iOS platforms, offers Aadhaar Number Holders a secure and convenient way to manage their digital identity. It has facilitated various services, including updating mobile numbers, biometric locking/unlocking, and downloading e-Aadhaar for around 1 million residents. The app also features advanced functions like face verification, biometric lock/unlock, authentication history viewing, and QR-based contact card for easy sharing.
Designed for user convenience, the app supports real-life scenarios like hotel check-ins, age verification, hospital admissions, event entries, and verification of workers. It allows managing up to five Aadhaar profiles on a single device, promoting the idea of “One Family – One App.” The app’s popularity underscores UIDAI’s commitment to enhancing service delivery through technology and improving user experience across demographics and regions.
