A 22-year-old man was fatally shot in the Welcome police station area of northeast Delhi. The victim, identified as Amanullah Qureshi, was riding a scooter near Keshav Chowk when unidentified assailants intercepted him and fired at close range. Amanullah, traveling towards Shahdara, was seriously injured and succumbed to his wounds at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital.

The incident sparked panic in the area, leading residents to alert the police. Following the attack, heavy police presence was observed in the locality to address the fear and tension. Initial investigations suggest the murder could be linked to personal enmity or an old dispute, although the exact motive is still under scrutiny.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the crime scene to identify the assailants and their movements. Additionally, locals and eyewitnesses are being questioned for any relevant information. Empty shell casings recovered from the spot have been sent for forensic analysis to aid the investigation. Multiple police teams are working to locate and apprehend the suspects, with raids conducted at various locations.

An FIR has been filed at Welcome Police Station under relevant sections of the law, and efforts are ongoing to swiftly capture the attackers. The investigation remains active, with further updates awaited.
