A 22-year-old woman, Sakshi Chaudhary, was found dead by suicide in Gwalior’s DD Nagar area in Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred late on Tuesday night under the Maharajpura police station limits. Sakshi, who was married to Lalkesh Chaudhary for about one-and-a-half years, was discovered hanging in her room by family members.
Upon receiving no response from Sakshi, her family members entered her room to find her hanging. The police were immediately informed, and they arrived at the scene to take custody of the body. The authorities have sent the body for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
The police have registered a case of unnatural death as no suicide note was found at the scene. An officer from the Maharajpura police station mentioned that investigations are ongoing to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident. No definitive reason for the alleged suicide has been established yet.
Authorities suspect that domestic issues might have contributed to the tragic event but emphasized the need for a thorough investigation before drawing conclusions. Sakshi’s husband, Lalkesh Chaudhary, who is an engineer in a government department, was not present at home during the incident and returned upon being informed.
Family members have provided statements to the police, and the post-mortem report is awaited for further insights. Based on medical findings and evidence gathered, authorities will proceed with necessary actions as the investigation progresses.
