The Chief Minister distributed appointment letters at a ceremony in Gandhinagar, attended by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, Finance Minister Kanu Desai, Minister of State Kamlesh Patel, and Chief Secretary M. K. Das. Patel urged the new officers to work honestly and efficiently to contribute to the state’s economic growth.

Addressing the newly appointed officers, Patel highlighted the need to resolve people’s difficulties within the legal framework and ensure a smooth process for taxpayers. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development-focused policies and the impact of initiatives like the hydrogen train in positioning India as a global competitor. Patel also credited the Vibrant Gujarat Summit for attracting investment and industry to the state.

Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi stressed the importance of continued determination and hard work in public service careers. He described the Finance and Tax Department as vital for economic stability and overall development in Gujarat. Finance Minister Kanu Desai highlighted policy reforms post-GST implementation, emphasizing Gujarat’s leading position in GST compliance and tax collection. Desai underscored the government’s commitment to supporting traders and industrialists for smooth business operations. He encouraged the new officers to focus on public service and facilitate tax payments for the state’s development.

Chief Secretary M. K. Das commended the selected candidates for their talent and potential contribution to Gujarat’s economic progress. He emphasized the importance of staying updated on tax laws and legal precedents to protect the state’s interests effectively. Das noted the significance of GST in revenue generation and advised officers to engage with tax consultants while upholding the law.
