Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior disclosed the arrest of 41 individuals associated with an organization tied to Iran. The group, allegedly connected to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps and the ideology of Wilayat al-Faqih, was uncovered following security investigations. Legal actions are being pursued against the detained members, with ongoing search and inquiry operations.
The Ministry emphasized that individuals proven to be part of the group or engaged in unlawful activities will face legal consequences. Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, voiced support for the Ministry’s actions in response to the arrests. Earlier, Bahrain detained six Asian nationals, including five Pakistanis, for sharing videos related to Iranian strikes on Bahrain, which were deemed to threaten public order.
Furthermore, the Bahrain police media center highlighted the suspects’ promotion of hostile acts, causing public fear and misinformation. These actions led to the suspects being referred to public prosecution. In a separate incident, the Anti-Cybercrime Directorate arrested four individuals for social media misuse related to Iranian attacks, as reported by the Ministry.
