AAP Convener Arvind Kejriwal is set to visit the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Friday. He plans to offer prayers and meet seers during his visit. Kejriwal had earlier questioned the SIT investigating the alleged donation theft at the temple, criticizing the lack of an FIR in the case.
Kejriwal expressed distress over reports of theft, including Lord Ram’s belongings and offerings. He highlighted the significant amount allegedly stolen, amounting to Rs 200 crore and 2 kg of silver. The AAP Chief emphasized the need for accountability, stating that an FIR should have been filed given the magnitude of the theft.
Before his departure to Ayodhya, Kejriwal stated his intentions to pray at the Ram Temple and Hanumangarhi. He also mentioned plans to meet seers during his visit. Kejriwal raised concerns about the formation of the SIT without an FIR, citing procedural requirements under the CrPC.
Questioning the legitimacy of the SIT, Kejriwal criticized its formation as inadequate and lacking legal basis. He alleged that influential individuals might be involved in the theft, suggesting a need for thorough investigation. Kejriwal highlighted the emotional impact of the alleged theft on the sentiments of Hindu devotees.
