The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) welcomed the Delhi court’s decision clearing former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in a corruption case linked to the scrapped excise policy. The party denounced the alleged ‘political conspiracy’ orchestrated by the BJP against AAP and its leaders. AAP leaders expressed satisfaction, stating that the judgment vindicated their stance that the accusations were politically driven.

AAP leader Somnath Bharti highlighted the exposure of BJP’s alleged conspiracy against AAP and Arvind Kejriwal, emphasizing that the case was fabricated to tarnish their leadership. Punjab Minister Aman Arora echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the removal of any stain on Kejriwal’s integrity due to the liquor scam allegation.

The verdict was met with appreciation from AAP leader Sunny Singh Ahluwalia, who reiterated the party’s commitment to clean governance. Punjab Minister Harjot Singh Bains expressed gratitude, acknowledging the victory of truth. Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema also welcomed the decision, expressing thanks to the judiciary.

AAP MLA Labh Singh Ugoke expressed gratitude for the legal process that led to the acquittal of national leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. Congress MLC Bhai Jagtap hailed the victory of truth, emphasizing faith in the judiciary. However, Congress leader Pawan Khera raised concerns about the timing of legal actions around elections.

West Bengal Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya criticized the alleged misuse of Central agencies for political gains. On the other hand, BJP leaders called for a closer review of the matter. BJP MLA Anand Mishra suggested a review due to the case’s duration, while BJP Uttar Pradesh President Pankaj Chaudhary emphasized respect for the judicial process.
