Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha revealed the merger of 7 out of 10 party House members with the BJP, expressing dissatisfaction with the AAP’s direction. Chadha, alongside AAP MPs Ashok Mittal and Sandeep Pathak, stated that the decision was made due to a perceived lack of opportunities to serve the people within AAP.

Chadha emphasized his dedication to the AAP over 15 years but claimed a shift away from honest politics within the party. Notably, the seven AAP Rajya Sabha MPs, including Harbhajan Singh and Swati Maliwal, are transitioning to the BJP following Chadha’s recent demotion in the House.

In response to his demotion, Chadha defended his parliamentary performance through a video showcasing his interventions on various public policy issues in the Rajya Sabha. The video highlighted his efforts on issues like data expiry, paternity leave rights, banking penalties, food adulteration, and telecommunications concerns.
