Abhishek Banerjee, the Trinamool Congress all-India general secretary, called on the people of Cooch Behar to remove the BJP from the district and ensure TMC’s victory in all nine Assembly seats. Speaking at a public gathering for his ‘Abar Jitbe Bangla’ campaign, Banerjee criticized former Cooch Behar BJP MP Nisith Pramanik, emphasizing the need for a clean sweep by TMC.
Banerjee stressed the importance of a 9-0 victory for TMC, highlighting the need to eliminate all opposition. He condemned BJP leaders for disrespecting prominent figures of Bengal and emphasized the importance of teaching them a lesson through the electoral process. Banerjee also criticized the BJP’s support for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in West Bengal.
The TMC leader accused the BJP of using central agencies against his party for political gain in the upcoming state Assembly elections. Banerjee urged Trinamool workers to ensure that individuals targeted by such actions are included in the voter list. He warned against supporting those responsible for causing inconvenience to the public, likening it to the aftermath of demonetization.
