Acting on the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Headquarters’ instructions, the ACB unit in Rajsamand apprehended Pankaj Jain, a Junior Specialist at R.K. Hospital, for taking a bribe of Rs 1,300. The arrest followed a complaint stating that Jain demanded money to conduct a surgery at R.K. Government Hospital.
Under the supervision of Rameshwar Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police, ACB, Udaipur Range, and led by Himmat Charan, Additional Superintendent of Police, ACB, Rajsamand, the bribe demand was verified. The accused accepted Rs 500 as part payment and later agreed to take the remaining Rs 1,300, leading to his arrest.
Jain was caught red-handed during the trap operation, with the previously accepted Rs 500 also recovered. The accused is currently under interrogation, and legal procedures are in progress. A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been initiated, with the Anti-Corruption Bureau conducting a thorough investigation.
The ACB has urged citizens to combat corruption by reporting bribery cases through their toll-free helpline 1064 or WhatsApp helpline 9413502834. They have assured full support to ensure that citizens’ legitimate tasks are carried out without corruption.
