ACB Arrests Progress Extension Officer in Bribery Case in Bundi

Acting on the Anti-Corruption Bureau’s instructions, the ACB unit in Bundi apprehended Devraj Meena, a Progress Extension Officer at Hindoli Panchayat Samiti, for accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000. The arrest was made during a successful trap operation directed by the ACB Headquarters.
Devraj Meena was caught red-handed accepting the bribe from a complainant, who alleged that Meena, along with Piyush Kumar Jain, a Development Officer, demanded Rs 35,000 for inspecting Badgaon Gram Panchayat.
The bribe amount was recovered from the accused’s office, while the Development Officer, Piyush Kumar Jain, managed to flee during the operation. Further investigations are ongoing under the supervision of Inspector General of Police, ACB, Shri Satyendra Kumar.
