The Accord Tamil Nadu Dragons secured a thrilling 4-2 victory over the Ranchi Royals in a dramatic shootout during the Men’s Hockey India League (HIL) match. The intense game ended 3-3 at full time, with the Dragons claiming the bonus point for their shootout win. The Ranchi Royals, despite the loss, secured the second spot on the points table, setting up a highly anticipated clash against the Kalinga Lancers in the upcoming Qualifier 1.

The Hyderabad Toofans have also confirmed their spot in the playoffs, while the Soorma Hockey Club faces a must-win situation in their next match against the SG Pipers to secure the fourth playoff position ahead of HIL GC. Tom Boon shone for the Royals with two goals, supported by an early opener from Mandeep Singh in the first minute. The Dragons staged a comeback with goals from Blake Govers and Karthi Selvam, setting the stage for a thrilling shootout.

The match kicked off with a rapid goal from the Royals within 28 seconds, showcasing their attacking prowess. The Dragons fought back, with Govers and Selvam finding the net to level the scoreline. The encounter saw a blend of skillful play and strategic moves, keeping fans on the edge of their seats throughout the game. The action-packed match ended with both teams displaying remarkable determination and skill.
