Actor Amit Behl discussed his deep personal ties to the upcoming drama “Jai Hind Jai Sindh.” Coming from a refugee family, he recounted childhood stories about Sindh shared by his Sindhi friends. The film, described as a historical love story, resonated with Behl due to his family history and cultural background.

Behl expressed confidence in the project after learning about the cast, which includes Mahesh Manjrekar, Chhaya Kadam, Rahul Dev, Zarina Wahab, and Jaya Prada. Director Indrajit Lankesh’s previous work further convinced Behl of the drama’s potential. His character in the film, the father of the lead actor, undergoes a significant transformation from a negative to a positive persona, reflecting themes of patriotism and Indian values.

Discussing his approach to portraying characters with negative shades, Behl emphasized the importance of embracing diverse roles. He highlighted the complexity of layered characters and cited examples from Bollywood, such as Sanjay Dutt’s versatile performances and Amitabh Bachchan’s powerful negative portrayal in “Aks.” Behl emphasized that an actor’s versatility in portraying various shades defines their artistry.
