Actor Kamaal Rashid Khan, also known as KRK, has been arrested by Mumbai Police regarding a shooting incident in Oshiwara. KRK, the prime suspect in the case, was apprehended and taken to the Oshiwara police station for questioning. He confessed to his role in the shooting and revealed that the shots were fired using his licensed firearm.
The police have confiscated the weapon and are currently processing the necessary legal formalities. The incident occurred on January 18, with two rounds reportedly fired at a residential building in Oshiwara, Andheri. Bullets were recovered from different floors of the building, one from the second floor and another from the fourth floor.
Authorities mentioned that one of the flats targeted in the shooting belongs to a writer-director, while the other is occupied by a model. An investigation team, including personnel from the Oshiwara police station and the crime branch, has been formed to look into the matter. Initially, the lack of incriminating evidence from CCTV footage posed a challenge to the investigators.
With the help of a forensic team, the police indicated that the bullets likely originated from Kamaal R Khan’s residence. Procedural formalities are underway, and the actor’s formal arrest is expected to be completed soon.
