Actor Mimoh Chakraborty recently discussed observing his father, veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, age over time. He described this process as ‘inevitable’ and emphasized the need for every child to accept it. Mimoh highlighted the importance of focusing on the present and supporting his parents rather than fixating on aging.
In a conversation with IANS, Mimoh expressed his views on the emotional aspect of witnessing parents grow older. He compared overthinking about aging to a ‘black hole syndrome,’ where dwelling on the future can make it seem daunting. Mimoh stressed that avoiding constant thoughts about the inevitable aging process can help in dealing with it more positively.
Reflecting on the universal nature of aging, Mimoh emphasized that everyone will experience it at some point in life. He suggested that living in the moment and spending quality time with loved ones are effective ways to handle the emotions associated with aging. Mimoh encouraged children to accept the reality of aging without getting consumed by negative thoughts.
