Popular Tollywood actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, who sustained a knee injury during a film shoot in Rajahmundry, has been airlifted to Hyderabad. He is currently receiving treatment at AIG Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
The Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) stated that Balakrishna injured his left knee during the shoot. After initial treatment at a local hospital, he was transferred to AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad for specialized evaluation and further care.
Medical reports from AIG Hospital indicate a localized collection of blood and inflammation around Balakrishna’s left knee, suggesting a possible muscle tear. He is undergoing thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic procedures under the care of orthopedic surgeons.
Balakrishna’s medical history is being reviewed by a multidisciplinary team to assess his overall health and fitness for determining the most suitable treatment plan. His condition is currently stable, with medical experts closely monitoring his progress for finalizing the treatment approach.
Director Gopichand Malineni reassured fans that Balakrishna’s injury is not severe and anticipates a swift recovery post a minor surgery. Balakrishna, a prominent figure in Tollywood, is also a leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and a Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
