Actor Ramandeep Yadav shared insights into his portrayal of the character Rajjo in the web series ‘Raakh’. He clarified that ‘Raakh’ is not a biographical drama but draws inspiration from real-life events. Despite this, his character Rajjo is entirely fictional.
When asked about his decision to avoid in-depth research for the role, Ramandeep explained that since it was not a biographical project, he focused on the script’s framework. He emphasized that the character had a well-developed history, emotions, and motivations crafted by the writers and directors.
Ramandeep highlighted that the biggest challenge was grasping Rajjo’s mindset, understanding his motivations, and justifications for his actions. Despite feeling disturbed by the script initially, he delved into the character’s psyche to deliver a convincing performance.
During the portrayal of Rajjo, extensive workshops were conducted to delve into the character’s instincts, survival instincts, and emotional background. By creating a detailed backstory, the character became more authentic, aiding Ramandeep in portraying the role convincingly.
