Acclaimed actor Sanjay Mishra revisited his days at the National School of Drama (NSD) and shared insights into his learning experiences with seniors like Irrfan Khan. As part of the promotion for “Vadh 2,” Sanjay, along with Neena Gupta and Kumud Mishra, returned to NSD in New Delhi, where they all graduated. Sanjay fondly reminisced about his formative years at NSD and the valuable lessons he imbibed from observing stalwarts like Irrfan Khan.
Reflecting on his time at NSD, Sanjay expressed his admiration for senior actors like Irrfan Khan, Virendra Saxena, and Ankur. He emphasized the profound impact of merely watching these seasoned performers, citing them as his true teachers. Sanjay recalled a moment when he was awestruck by Irrfan’s acting prowess, highlighting the depth of Irrfan’s talent and dedication to his craft.
Sanjay’s tribute to Irrfan comes in the wake of the latter’s battle with neuroendocrine cancer, which ultimately led to his untimely demise in 2020. Moving back to “Vadh 2,” a crime drama directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and produced by Luv Films, the film received a positive reception at the 56th IFFI 2025. After a successful premiere, “Vadh 2” is scheduled for a theatrical release on February 6.
