Playing the role of Hemant Virani, he shared a series of images on Instagram from the show’s set. The sequel ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’ premiered on July 29, 2025, featuring returning lead actors Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay as Tulsi and Mihir Virani. The new generation characters are portrayed by Rohit Suchanti, Tanisha Mehta, Shagun Sharma, and Aman Gandhi. The original show aired in 2008, revolving around an ideal daughter-in-law, Tulsi Virani, married to Mihir, the grandson of business tycoon Govardhan Virani, played by Smriti Irani.
Shakti Anand, who initially worked as a medical examiner in Delhi, landed the role in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.’ He also appeared in various other TV shows like ‘Nach Baliye,’ ‘Godh Bharaai,’ ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap,’ ‘SuperCops vs Supervillains,’ ‘Gangaa,’ and ‘Tenali Rama.’ His recent role was as Amber Singh in ‘Channa Mereya,’ and from July 2025, he resumed his role as Advocate Hemant Virani in the spiritual sequel of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.’
